Carhartt x Motown Varsity Jacket

A stand out piece within the Carhartt x Motown capsule collection, this Varsity Jacket has a black polyester shell with a satin-like finish, monochrome ribbed trims and custom embroidery that signifies the collaboration. Built with Carhartt’s established reputation for quality, the front is fastened by a full length zip which leads to a rounded collar neckline which has a wide white striped design against a flexible ribbed material and a padded lining runs throughout. On the left side of the chest script style lettering reads ‘Motown & Carhartt’ in a curved line above ‘Detroit’ which signifies the special partnership for the record labels 60th anniversary. At the waist two small welt pockets are available for storage of essential items in addition to an inner pocket on the left side of the chest. The sleeves have been cut to a raglan shape to emulate traditional sportswear styles and along the top edge white fabric panelling has been added for impact. On the reverse further decoration can be seen through a large embroidered Motown ‘M’ emblem in white which sits above capitalised lettering reading ‘Carhartt WIP Motown Records’ with ‘Detroit, MI’ in bold underneath. The sleeves and body have wide ribbed trims which match the neckline and encourage a secure but comfortable fit.
